Oasis Clinical Services is an approved IDRC provider. There are several components to our program. The first is the initial assessment. Once registered, all patients will be given a complete Bio-psycho-social review at the time of intake. Additionally, all patients will participate and be asked to provide input in to the overall creation and development of their treatment plan. We believe that such interactive participation is vital to a successful and long-lasting recovery.
The IDRC Program at Oasis is a 16-week educational series which explores why we abuse alcohol or drugs, the consequences of our usage, various potential relapse triggers, how we try to fix our family situation and dynamic, work issues, legal issues and more. Group sessions meet one time per week on Wednesday evenings at 6 PM At the conclusion of the IDRC group session program, the patient and their counselor will again review and discuss the individual's specific treatment plan and goals. At that time, the patient will either finish their treatment at Oasis, or be referred to a higher level of care depending on their current status and progress. Family members are encouraged to attend separate group sessions at Oasis so that they may better understand their role in helping their loved one towards recovery. Individual family counseling sessions with the patient's counselor are done on a regular basis. The goal of our program is to give the patient every support mechanism available in order to help enhance their life and to help avoid any further consequences of their usage. |
