Oasis Clinical Services offers and provides the necessary programs and services for patients who have medication-assisted needs and requirements. Our programs are designed to guide, educate and assist them in becoming more aware of the importance of being abstinent from both alcohol and illicit drugs of abuse. We call these our medication-assisted programs, and we will, on a regular basis, bring in outside experts who can suggest and offer additional treatment options, thus helping our patients to make a better and more informed lifestyle choice.
Similar to our drug-free programs, our medication-assisted programs also utilizes the 5-phases of therapy, which we believe enables a patient to have the best chance to achieve a drug-free existence. Unlike some other providers, we at Oasis take into consideration the fact that some patients need medication in order to remain an active and participating member of society and his or her community, and therefore we structure our counseling and group programs accordingly. Our IOPT groups are conducted three times a week, and each session lasts three hours. For those patients who may need more structure, or are having a challenging time managing their recovery, Oasis offers a Partial Care counseling component which runs fives days a week, six hours per day. Unlike most programs for the medication-assisted patient, Oasis is not a methadone center. We encourage those individuals on methadone to detoxify if and when they are ready, and both of our medication-assisted programs will offer those patients alternate choices of detoxing from methadone which include referrals to: 1) hospitals; 2) in-patient centers; or 3) out-patient detox - all based upon the comfort level and the desire of the patient. |
